This past week Ahavas Chesed assisted a well-known member of the community, an Israeli woman who was diagnosed with brain cancer. She was an Israeli citizen, and had to return to Israel for treatment. Her sister in Israel wanted to take care of her, and her Israeli health insurance would cover her medical bills. Ahavas Chesed urgently fund raised to pay for her specialized medical transport back to Israel, with VitalOne Emergency Medical Transportation, who provided medical supervision all the way. This cost $11,000. We were successful in raising the money, thanks to all of you wonderful donors!
Upon arrival in Israel, the patient immediately underwent brain surgery at Tel Hashomer hospital, and it was highly successful. Please continue to daven for Chaya Dalia bas Naima.
